HISTORY
American Trim began as a Lima Tool and Die in 1951, and was built on a strong foundation of expertise and values to support our customers and employees. Renamed Superior Metal Products in 1962, a name chosen to reflect the continuing development of supplying quality products. A series of expansions and strategic acquisitions followed for stamping, plating, porcelain enameling, ink formulating, screen printing, and heavy tonnage press capabilities. Again, a name change was needed to encompass the entirety of the markets and customers we serve. Today, American Trim continues with the same commitment to values, dedication to quality, and customer support envisioned by our founders.
YOUR TRUSTED EXPERT
Our advance engineering, tooling, and program management teams provide responsive customer support from concept to production. American Trim’s quality team operates an on-site analytic lab and long-term durability test lab to maintain quality and process control. We take quality seriously and every employee is empowered to stop production for quality issues.
